As the supply to ships only occurred during the season for passenger ships, in 2013 we decided to expand our operations within our main branch, and we opened a branch of the Nossa Farma compounding pharmacy, but with a month of contract, we received an unexpected email from a large Dutch drug distributor, which offered us to supply drugs for the cargo ships they served in Brazil. For us, it was a surprise, as we sometimes tried unsuccessfully to serve this market, but as no one in Brazil was aware of the area, we kept "seeing ships".
After months serving the cargo ships, we got in touch with our Dutch partner, and scheduled a visit to better understand how the market worked, on this trip, we went to Holland, Greece, Spain and Italy, and soon after, to New York where we met another great partner. These trips were a watershed moment for our company. With our head turned exclusively to ships, with the cargo market in service throughout the year, and with enough orders to keep us, we decided to close the pharmacies and dedicate ourselves entirely to the supply of ships (Preparing orders from home).
2016 was the birth year of Medinship, where it gained a new registration number (CNPJ) and name, we rented a 60m² room and started our first stock.
Within a year the room became small, so in 2017 we moved to a 120m² room, the Medinship team started to form. By the end of the year we were working on 5 people.
In 2018, with the company taking shape, we signed some contracts with Petrobras, and the room was again small, so we moved again to a 300m² warehouse.
